Tell BC Provincial Minister Conroy to cancel the Trans Mountain salamander salvage permit - Protect The Planet

A sensitive wetland at Bridal Veil Falls in BC is about to be destroyed by Trans Mountain's new pipeline. The wetland is home to threatened salamanders, owls, oregon forest snails as well as hundreds of birds and rare plant species. The BC government has issued a permit to allow Trans Mountain to salvage the salamanders before construction starts in the wetland this fall. Salamander salvages have high mortality rates therefore we want to convince Minister Conroy to cancel the salamander salvage permit to make Trans Mountain go around the wetland or tunnel under the wetland, thereby leaving the wetland, the birds and amphibians and the streams intact. Tell Canada's major banks to break up with fossil fuels - Greenpeace

RBC, CIBC, BMO, TD, Scotiabank and Desjardins talk about respecting Indigenous rights and fighting climate change and, yet, they continue to finance fossil fuels. Canada's big 5 banks are among the top twenty-five global banks financing fossil fuels - RBC is the largest financier of fossil fuels in Canada (and fifth largest in the world), followed by Scotiabank, TD, BMO and CIBC. They have steadily increased their support for fossil fuels - providing over $910 BILLION to fossil fuel companies since the Paris Climate Agreement in 2015, which demanded strong action to reduce climate catastrophes.
