Birds on the Frontline

Birds say "No New Pipelines!"

Nests are Federally protected. Trans Mountain should not be allowed to cut trees in peak nesting season to build a new pipeline. The birds shown on these signs are nesting on the proposed pipeline route, and have stopped construction.

Community Nest Finding Network says:

"Every time we've been on a Trans Mountain site right before tree-felling, we have discovered nests where they are about to cut (or where they are already cutting). One of these times involved an Environment Canada Officer witnessing the destruction of a hummingbird nest by Trans Mountain contractors. We have made them stand down work three times now. They are not finding the nests."
